How to Break-in Your ATV’s Engine, Yamaha Sport ATV Tech Tip Video Series
We go through the break-in process on the Raptor 700R to give you an idea on how the break-in process works.
Having manufactured the largest, most diverse lineup of sport ATVs for more than 20 years, no other company is more dedicated to the market and exhilaration of sport ATVs than Yamaha. Now, we’ve taken all of our riding and racing experience and put together the “Yamaha Sport ATV Tech Tip Video Series” to help you get the most performance and reliability from your ATV.
There’s no more important time in the life of your ATV’s engine than its initial break-in. The break-in process may vary from model to model, or manufacturer to manufacturer to manufacturer, but they all share the same principal: start off with less throttle and stress on the engine and gradually build up over time. We’re going to take you through the break-in process on the Raptor 700R, which should give you a good idea on how the break-in works. For other models, we highly encourage you to review and follow the process in your owner’s manual.
If you have any questions about breaking-in or maintaining your Yamaha ATV you can always count on your local Yamaha dealer.
