Triumph Motorsports introduces NEW MX Sprocket Guards
These plates are designed primarily for MX racing. These guards are slightly lighter and smaller than most XC style guards on the market, however still adds the protection for MX style racing. The guards are a little larger than your desired sprocket and chain, guarding them both from large rocks, ruts, or anything else in your way on the track. Not only does this guard your sprocket, but it also helps guide the chain and prevents chain derailments. It also gives you more clearance than a stock skid. Triumph Motorsports has custom holes cut out to discard any mud and sticky dirt that may cling to the sprocket. Custom holes and custom colors set these Sprocket Guards apart from any other on the market. The single guard design is the only way to go. With years of experience Triumph has seen the “Dual Sprocket Guards” fail over and over after accumulating rocks, dirt, and more getting stuck in between the 2 plates and causing the chain to break from pressure which leads to failure.
Installation of these guards are as simple as installing a sprocket. Remove the outer tire install opposite side of the sprocket hub and put the bolts back in, yep that easy! No axle or axle hub removal necessary. The OEM sprocket is held on with 4 bolts that have to be removed in order for the new longer bolts. Triumph provides the longer bolts to insure a better tightening surface.
